The investment team at Southern Capital is one of the most experienced in Southeast Asian private equity. With diverse backgrounds in private equity, industry, finance and consulting, the team has a successful track record of delivering consistently superior investment returns to our limited partners.

In addition, several highly experienced individuals act as advisors to Southern Capital and participate in the firm's investment activities in various capacities. These advisors assist in providing economic outlook guidance, micro and macroeconomic direction, risk management, as well as identifying and evaluating prospective investment opportunities. From time to time, they are also actively involved in serving as advisors to or on the board of directors of Southern Capital's portfolio companies.

The Managing Directors at Southern Capital are members of the Investment Committee, which makes the final decision on all investments, divestments and other significant events relating to the firm's portfolio companies.

James BEMOWSKI
Mr. Bemowski is the former Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Doosan Corporation, one of the largest machinery companies in the world. At the time of his appointment, Mr. Bemowski was the first foreigner to lead a large South Korean business group.

Previously, Mr. Bemowski was Senior Vice President at Southern Bank and spent over 20 years at McKinsey & Company where he retired as a Director.

Mr. Bemowski is a graduate of Claremont McKenna College and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
David ELDON
Mr. Eldon is the former Chairman of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, where he worked for 37 years until retirement. He is now Chairman, as a non-executive, of HSBC Bank Middle East Limited, HSBC Bank Egypt and HSBC Bank Turkey, and Adviser to the CEO of HSBC’s Global Commercial Bank.

Mr. Eldon is also presently the non-executive Chairman of Octopus Holdings Limited and Octopus Cards Limited.

He has received a number of awards in recognition of his contribution to the Financial Services Industry.
Aurelio R. MONTINOLA
Mr Montinola is presently the Chairman of Far Eastern University (FEU) and Vice Chairman of the Philippine Business for Education (PBED) Foundation. He remains as Director of the Bank of Philippine Islands (BPI), Chairman of BPI Globe Banko, Chairman of BPI Philam Life Assurance Corporation, and Chairman of BPI/MS Insurance Corporation.

Mr Montinola was formerly the President and CEO of BPI. He was twice awarded the Asian Banker Leadership Achievement Award and served as the President of the Bankers Association of the Philippines.

Other affiliations include Chairman of Lafarge Republic Inc., Director of WWF Philippines, Member of the Management Association of the Philippines and Trustee of the Makati Business Club.

Mr Montinola is a graduate of Ateneo de Manila and holds a MBA from Harvard Business School.
Jackson TAI
Mr Tai currently serves on the boards of several publicly listed companies: HSBC Holdings plc, Eli Lilly and Company, MasterCard and Royal Philips Electronics, NV. He is also a director of privately held Russell Reynolds Associates and Vaporstream.

Mr Tai was formerly the Chief Executive Officer & Vice Chairman of DBS Group Holdings Limited and DBS Bank Limited. Prior to DBS, he was a Managing Director and Member of the Investment Banking Division management committee at J.P. Morgan & Co.

Previously, Mr Tai was also a director of NYSE Euronext, CapitaLand Limited, The Bank of China Limited, Singapore Airlines Limited, Singapore Telecommunications Limited, the Islamic Bank of Asia and the privately held Brookstone.

In the non-profit sector, Mr Tai is a director of the Metropolitan Opera, a trustee of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a member of the Harvard Business School Asia Pacific Advisory Board the Harvard China Advisory Board, and the Committee of 100. Previously, he was a director of the Asian Art Museum, the San Francisco Symphony, and Merlin USA.

Mr Tai is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and holds a MBA from Harvard Business School.

Teong Hean TAN
Chairman
TH is the Chairman of the Investment Committee at Southern Capital. Prior to Southern Capital, TH was the Chief Executive Officer of Southern Bank, a position he held for 23 years. He was also previously Chairman of MasterCard Asia Pacific and a main board director of MasterCard International. TH holds a BA in Economics from the University of Malaya.
Kenneth TAN
Managing Director & Managing Partner
Ken is responsible for deal generation, execution and portfolio monitoring at Southern Capital. Prior to Southern Capital, Ken was a co-founder and Executive Vice President of Cassis International, a leading smart card services company. Ken was also previously with GIC Special Investments and Credit Suisse First Boston. Ken holds a BA in Economics from St Catharine's College, Cambridge, where he graduated with First Class Honors.
Guan Hin ONG
Managing Director
Guan Hin is the COO/CFO and is responsible for the operations and finance of the firm, including fund administration as well as special portfolio and management projects at Southern Capital. Guan Hin was also previously a Director at UBS Capital, where he was responsible for origination and execution of private equity investments. Prior to that, he was in investment banking with Morgan Grenfell and Standard Chartered Merchant Bank. Guan Hin holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester and an MBA from the Manchester Business School.
Chin Toh WONG
Managing Director
Chin Toh is responsible for deal generation, execution and portfolio monitoring at Southern Capital. Prior to Southern Capital, Chin Toh was Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Finance function at Southern Bank. Chin Toh was also previously with management consulting firm McKinsey & Company where he was an Engagement Manager and a member of the firm's Asia Corporate Finance & Strategy Practice. Chin Toh holds a BSc in Economics with First Class Honors from The London School of Economics and Political Science and an MPhil in Finance from the University of Cambridge.
Jennivine YUWONO
Advisor
Ms Jennivine Yuwono was at Southern Capital for 17 years where she was a Managing Director. Prior to Southern Capital, Jennivine was with the Mergers and Acquisition group in the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley in New York and Singapore. Jennivine holds an AB in East Asian Studies from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Choon Hou HO (Dr)
Managing Director
Choon Hou is involved in deal generation, execution and portfolio monitoring at Southern Capital. Prior to Southern Capital, Choon Hou was Executive Director and Special Assistant to the CEO of National Healthcare Group, one of the largest healthcare groups in Singapore. Choon Hou was also a co-founder of Cordlife Ltd, one of the largest stem cell banks in Asia. Choon Hou is a trained surgeon and holds an MBBS from Sheffield University, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Sang Wei BOH
Principal
Sang Wei is involved in execution and portfolio monitoring. Prior to joining Southern Capital, Sang Wei was with GIC and was a member of the Advisory Transactions team at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Sang Wei holds a BAcc from Nanyang Technological University, where he graduated with honors, and is a CFA charterholder as well as a Certified Public Accountant.
Wyn Ni FONG
Principal
Wyn Ni is involved in execution and portfolio monitoring at Southern Capital. Prior to Southern Capital, Wyn Ni was with Maybank Investment Bank Berhad and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Wyn Ni holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Melbourne, Australia and Masters in Finance from RMIT University Melbourne, Australia and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Yon Jan LOW

Yon Jan is involved in execution and portfolio monitoring at Southern Capital. Prior to Southern Capital, Yon Jan was with Rothschild London. Yon Jan holds a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London, where he graduated with First Class Honours.

Kok Chin is involved in execution and portfolio monitoring at Southern Capital. Prior to Southern Capital, Kok Chin was with TAEL Partners, Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Kok Chin holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Monash University, Australia.
